This strange instrument is worn with a shoulder strap and resembles a hybrid of a lute, arcane keyboard, and slender guitar. Polished ivory keys run along the neck while glowing strings hum with magical resonance.
When played, the instrument produces layered harmonies — part melody, part spellcasting focus — allowing a bard to channel magic through rhythm and performance. The Arcanostrings Keytar functions as a spellcasting focus for bard spells. The instrument grows in power alongside its wielder, unlocking additional abilities as its magic awakens.
Tier I – Awakening Rhythm (Recommended for characters level 3–6) The instrument glows faintly when magic is channelled through it.
Harmonic Amplifier: When you cast a Bard spell that deals damage or restores hit points, you may add your Charisma modifier to one damage or healing roll of that spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Power Chord: As a bonus action, you strike a magical chord. Choose one creature within 30 ft that can hear you. That creature gains 1d6 temporary hit points and advantage on its next attack roll before the end of its next turn.
