This heavy full plate is wrapped in thick, thorned vines that appear to have fused with the metal itself. The vines feel warm to the touch, subtly shifting and tightening like living muscle beneath the armor's surface.
Long ago, a desperate demon-vine creature bound itself to this armor in order to survive. Now it protects its host with feral devotion, feeding on the life essence of fallen enemies to sustain itself.
While attuned to this armor, faint whispers of hunger sometimes brush the edge of your thoughts.

Abilities
Devour the Fallen
The vine feeds on the life essence of the dying.
When a creature dies within 10 feet of you, the vine lashes out and drains its vitality. You gain temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + your proficiency bonus.
The vine visibly pierces the corpse with thin tendrils before retracting, pulsing faintly beneath the armor plates.
Verdant Rampage
Action — 1/Long Rest
You unleash the full fury of the parasitic vine. Thorned tendrils burst from the armor and lash violently around you for 3 rounds.
While Verdant Rampage is active:
-
Your melee attacks gain +5 feet of reach.
-
Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee attack, the vines lash another creature within 10 feet of the target, dealing 1d8 piercing damage.
-
You gain advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
The vines whip and coil around your limbs, striking with predatory precision as the symbiote fights alongside you.
Drawbacks
Hungry Symbiote
The vine must feed regularly to survive.
If the armor does not feed using Devour the Fallen within a 24-hour period, the vine begins to tighten painfully around your body.
You gain 1 level of exhaustion.
This exhaustion cannot be removed until the vine successfully feeds again.
Overgrowth
The vine grows violently while unleashed.
When Verdant Rampage ends, the vines burrow briefly into your flesh to draw nourishment.
You take 2d8 necrotic damage that cannot be reduced or resisted.
If the armor fed using Devour the Fallen while Verdant Rampage was active, the damage is reduced to 1d8 necrotic damage instead.
As the ability ends, the vines violently retract into the armor, leaving faint bloody marks beneath the plates.
P.s. This is my first homebrew item I hope you enjoy it!
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Combat, Warding, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
