Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a requires attunement by an Artificer missing a hand or an arm.)
Originally developed as an Arcane Propulsion Arm by artificers of House Cannith, this appendage has been modified with gyroscopic technology to increase the user close combat efficiency. To attune to this item, you must attach it to your arm at the wrist, elbow, or shoulder.
While attached, the prosthetic provides these benefits:
- The prosthetic is a fully capable part of your body.
- The prosthetic is a magic melee weapon with which you're proficient. It deals 1 force damage on a hit.
This prosthetic has 6 charges. The wearer can expend the charges in the following ways:
- Vector Correction - Once per turn after failing a melee attack roll using the prosthetic, or a melee weapon held by it, expend 1 charge to add 1d8 to the attack roll. If the attack roll is successful, add the same bonus to the damage roll as force damage.
- Vector Deflection - When a ranged weapon attack hits you, you can use your reaction to expend 1 charge to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Intelligence modifier, provided that you have a free hand. If you reduce the damage to 0, you can catch the missile if it is small enough for you to hold, provided you aren't already holding something.
Expended charges are regained upon finishing a Long Rest.
Notes: requires attunement by an Artificer missing a hand or an arm.
