Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a specific wielder, Kendra Ashveil, and can only be fully attuned to her. As she increases in experience, the attunement deepens and additional abilities are unlocked. For non-attuned wielders, the bow functions as a nonmagical longbow only with no energy effect. The draw feels subtly wrong in a way that goes beyond the physical. Non-attuned wielders will always attack with disadvantage.)

Tier 1 - Primary Bond (Level 1 - Radiant):

+1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Normal arrows can be used, but when drawn without a physical arrow, an energy arrow appears  At tier 1 this arrow does 1d8+1 Radiant damage. Pale white-blue luminescence on release, suppressible as a free action. Produces no visible light when suppressed — useful against targets with darkvision.

Once per long rest, the user may make one attack with advantage. The attunement briefly sharpens her aim beyond its normal limit.

Tier 2 - Cold Unlocked (level 5 - Cold):

As a bonus action, shift the bow’s energy to Cold. Arrows trail pale blue on release. 1d8+1 Cold damage. On hit, target’s speed is reduced by 10ft until the start of the next turn. Does not stack.

Reverts to radiant after a short or long rest, or on command as a free action.

For a Gloom Stalker Ranger, the energy discharge now triggers on the Dread Ambusher bonus attack in round 1.

Tier 3 - Verdant Step Unlocked (level 7 - Utility):

Once per short rest, as a bonus action, fire a green-channeled arrow. On landing, one willing creature or one small object within 10ft of the arrow’s landing point is instantly moved to any unoccupied space within 10ft of the user.

Cannot be used on unwilling targets including enemies. A willing ally may choose to resist. Deals no damage — the arrow passes harmlessly if it strikes the target creature.

Object must be something one hand could carry — a weapon, key, rope end, vial, torch. Not a body, not a chest, not a creature larger than Tiny. Unattended objects only; held objects require the holder’s consent.

The arrow follows a normal trajectory and can be blocked by cover or barriers. Requires line of effect to the landing space.

Tier 4 - Fire Unlocked (level 11 - Fire):

As a bonus action, shift the bow’s energy to Fire. 1d8+1 Fire damage. Arrows leave a red-orange trail on release. Reverts to radiant after a rest or on command.

On hit, target takes 1d4 ongoing fire damage at the start of their next turn. Does not stack — a second fire hit resets the timer rather than doubling the damage.

At level 11, Hunter’s Mark loses Concentration. The fire tick now stacks cleanly with Hunter’s Mark damage since neither requires Concentration to maintain.

Tier 5 - Fire Unlocked (level 13 - Mastery):

Once per long rest, fire an arrow carrying all three damage channels simultaneously — white, blue, and red blend to gold on release. On hit: radiant + cold + fire damage. Target is slowed and takes 1d4 fire at the start of their next turn. (Example damage: 1d8 radiant + 1d8 cold + 1d8 fire +1 magical bonus, target is slowed and takes an additional 1d4 damage at start of next turn)

Switching energy types no longer costs a bonus action — Kendra changes channel as part of the attack action. Full attunement means the bow responds to intent rather than deliberate effort.

Verdant Step’s range extends to 20ft from the arrow’s landing point, and recharges on a short rest as before. The green channel has deepened alongside the others.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Replace Damage Type: Force, Origin story to be added, specific wielder, Kendra Ashveil, and can only be fully attuned to her. As she increases in experience, the attunement deepens and additional abilities are unlocked. For non-attuned wielders, the bow functions as a nonmagical longbow only with no energy effect. The draw feels subtly wrong in a way that goes beyond the physical. Non-attuned wielders will always attack with disadvantage., Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
