These are twelve +2 plate armors decorated with silver elven runes with a lion's head engraved on the chest. Any arrow, sling, or nonmagical thrown weapon that hits the wearer for 15 points of damage or less is automatically repelled by the armor and unerringly returns to the creature that fired it (the damage roll is rerolled against the attacker, and the wearer takes no damage). Furthermore, because the lion's head engraved on the chest roars in the presence of danger, the wearer gains the Evasion ability like a 7th-level rogue. All twelve suits of armor are believed to be in the hands of the tanarukk of Hellgate Keep, who plundered them from the arsenals of Ammarindar.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
