Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement by a Warlock)

This amulet is a small glass vial encircled in a wroth iron rim with a sharp point, and is stained with old blood. To attune to the amulet, you must pierce yourself with it, adding few drops of your blood to the vial. If your attunement to the amulet ends, the contained blood is absorbed into it, further staining the iron surface.

While this amulet is on your person, you can take a Magic action to regain one expended Pact Magic spell slot. Once you use this property of the amulet, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Once attuned, the amulet is bound to your soul and can feed on your life force. If you already used the amulet to regain a Pact Magic spell slot, this bond allows you to sacrifice some of your life force to regain additional ones. The amulet has 4 charges and regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. You can spend 1 charge and take the Magic action to regain an additional Pact Magic spell slot.

When you regain a Pact Magic spell slot this way, you take Necrotic damage equal to 1d8 per spell slot level. This damage ignores any Resistances or Immunities. Additionally, you make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, and on a failed save you gain 1 Exhaustion level. At the next dawn, all Exhaustion levels gained this way are removed.
