This amulet of pure immaculate gold represents a flaring sun. The foolhardy mages of Aeor tried to recreate an artificial sun and preserve it into an amulet. While the endeavor proved way too ambitious, the mages managed to bottle some of the dead waning rays of the setting winter sun into the amulet.
Winter sun. When placed near snow, it seems like the sun rays represented on the amulet are reflected brightly on the snow's surface. When attuned to, the amulet also works as a source of magical light in the winter or around snow.
Artificial shield. Upon being hit by a critical hit, you emit an uncomfortably bright flash of light and the damage of the critical hit is halved. Each creature in a 15ft radius cone centered on you and directed towards the source of the critical hit must succeed a DC15 constitution saving throw or be blinded for a minute. The creature(s) blinded this way can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. This feature works only once per long rest.
