Armor (half plate), very rare (requires attunement)

This gleaming half-plate is polished to a mirror sheen, trimmed with gold filigree shaped like sweeping wings. Despite its weight, it moves with uncanny grace, as though it anticipates the rider’s intent.

When worn astride a mount, it hums faintly—like distant thunder gathering strength.

Base Properties

  • AC as half plate (15 + Dex max 2)

  • Grants a +1 bonus to AC

  • You do not suffer disadvantage on Stealth while mounted

  • While mounted, you gain +10 ft. movement speed

Bulwark of Momentum

While moving at least 20 ft. on your turn:

To strike you mid-charge is to strike a falling avalanche.

Unyielding in the Saddle

  • You cannot be forcibly dismounted unless you are incapacitated

  • When you would be knocked prone while mounted:

    • You may choose to remain mounted and upright instead

Reverberation Field

When a creature hits you with a melee attack while you are mounted:

  • It takes 1d8 thunder damage

  • If you moved at least 20 ft. on your previous turn, it must succeed on a Strength save or be pushed 5 ft. away

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
