This amulet is a jagged piece of cold obsidian suspended on a rusted iron chain. It hums with a low, erratic vibration that seems to sync with the wearer's heartbeat.

Instant Respite: Once per day as a magical action (in or out of combat), you can grasp the amulet and channel its dark energy to gain the benefits of a Short Rest instantly (allowing you to spend Hit Dice, regain class features like Action Surge or Ki points, etc.). This does not require any time to pass.

• Necrotic Drain: The obsidian spikes bite into your chest, dealing the wearers hit dice worth of Necrotic damage. This damage cannot be reduced or prevented by resistance.
