Weapon (pistol), artifact

Seemingly improved in strength by the dusty sands and wind of Shohuul and your own blood, your well-endowed heirloom spins faster for you. You always were a gambling man, weren't you?

The Ace of Spades is a +1 pistol with an ammo capacity of 4, damage of 1d8 piercing, and a Misfire score of 3. The Ace does not grant disadvantage on attacks within 5ft, and has a range of 30/60. When you crit with the Ace of Spades, the attack deals an extra 1d6+2 Thunder damage, which is doubled by the crit. 

The Ace of Spades has 5 charges and recharges 1d4 daily at dawn.

(SLOT) MACHINE GUN - MARK II

On your turn, you can choose to expend a charge to spin the Slot Machine built into the Ace's cylinder as a free action. Roll 3d6. The effect that transpires depends on the numbers rolled (see the list below). You can only spin the Slots once per turn, and can only have a single spin effect at a time.

Mark II effect - Twice per rest, when spinning the Slots and failing to get an effect, you can choose to reroll the dice to and potentially gain an effect, only expending a use on a successful effect. You can only reroll once per Spin, and must take any effect you roll.

  • Cyclops (1,1,1) - You oughta be kicked out with that luck. The Ace instantly breaks, requiring an out-of-combat repair.
  • Snake Eyes (1,1,any) - Yikes, bad show. your next attack with the Ace is a critical failure.
  • Doubles (EX: 3,3,any) - Could be much worse. Your next attack with the Ace deals an extra 1d6+2 Thunder damage.
  • Triples (EX: 2,2,2) - Pretty good, you got 16 gambling points. Also, your next attack with the Ace has a DC 16 STR save chance to knock the target prone.
  • Ascending (EX: 2,3,4 ; 1,3,5) - Climbing the ladder of luck. Your next Ace attack deals maximum damage.
  • Double Sixes (6,6,any) - Finally winning big. Your next Ace attack is an automatic crit.
  • Unholy (6,6,6) -  99% of gamblers don't get this far. Your next Ace attack is an automatic crit and deals maximum damage.

RELIC - DRAX BAUTISTA

This magical item is a Relic, it has only one owner and cannot be utilized by anyone else. As the user levels up, this item will grow in strength, gaining new abilities and effects.

Proficiency with a Pistol allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
