While wielding this shield, you gain an AC bonus of +3 in addition to the Shield’s normal bonus to AC.
Mark of Defiance (Exalted).
When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can mark it until the start of your next turn. While marked, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you.
You can only have one creature marked at a time. If you mark a new creature, the previous mark ends.
Unyielding Presence.
Creatures you have marked cannot willingly move farther away from you unless they succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, their speed becomes 0 until the end of their turn.
The Aegis of the Unbroken has fully bound itself to Valkarr Lifekeep. No longer merely a shield, it has become an extension of his will—unyielding, absolute, and undeniable.
Legends now speak of the moment he stood alone against overwhelming odds, refusing to fall as allies rallied behind him. It was then that the shield’s true nature revealed itself—not as a gift of power, but as a reflection of who he had become.
The dragon etched within now blazes with radiant intensity, its presence undeniable. Where Valkarr stands, the battlefield bends around him. Enemies do not choose their targets—they are forced to face him.
So long as Valkarr stands, none shall pass.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, The shield resonates strongest with those who stand as protectors of others, embodying an unyielding will in the face of danger. Requires attunement by Valkarr Lifekeep.
