Weapon (mace), rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

Made of finely-finished ebony with its central section clad in silver.  The rod's top flairs into a mace-like head, carved to represent entwined leaves.

The rod causes its wielder to radiate an emotional and mental wave of fellow-feeling to all creatures of intelligence within 20'.

The rod has 3 charges.

Bonhomie.  The Rod amplifies your natural Charisma.  You gain +1 to your Charisma Ability Checks and Saving Throws while the Rod is in your possession.

Charm Person.  While holding the rod, you may speak the command word ("audime") and take a Magic action to expend 1 charge to cast Charm Person at 3rd level.  When you use the Rod in this manner, an almost imperceptible warmth emanates from the crown of the Rod, filling the area.

Mace, +1.  The rod can be wielded as a mace, +1.

Regaining Charges. The rod regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll 1d20. On a 1, the rod crumbles into ashes and is destroyed.

This Rod served Zenobia, the last Queen of Cynidicea as her royal scepter.  It's subtle magical abilities contributed to her effectiveness as a persuasive ruler.

Proficiency with a Mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Charisma Ability Checks, Bonus: Magic, Bonus: Charisma Saving Throws, spellcaster, Sap
