This beautiful longsword is inlaid with tiny sapphire gems around it's hilt, and weighs almost nothing. It is rumored to have been crafted on the plane of air, and wielded by a great hero whose name has been lost to the ages. The sword changes its appearance from day to day, but unlike other swords with this bizarre feature, this blade changes to match the bearer's mood. The sword gleams in sunlight and never seems to dirty or tarnish and fills it's bearer with confidence and self assuredness. While in contact with the blade, the wielder does not need to breathe, but can if he chooses to. The sword is counted as a finesse weapon and has a +2 to attack and damage rolls. Every time a critical hit is scored, it imparts a piece of an ancient song to the wielder. Once bonded to this weapon, it seems to almost hum when used.
Luck: You have a +1 on all saving throws and may call upon the swords luck (no action required) to reroll one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you dislike. You must use the second roll. This cannot be used again until the next dawn.
Warning: While on your person, you have advantage on initiative rolls. In addition, you and any of your companions within 30 feet of you cannot be surprised, even when incapacitated by something other than non-magical sleep. The sword magically awakens you and your companions within range if any of you are sleeping naturally when combat begins, usually with a song of battle in their minds.
Mind Shielding: You are immune to magic that allows other creatures to read your thoughts, determine whether you are lying, know your alignment, or know your creature type. Creatures can telepathically communicate with you only if you allow it.
Sentience: The blade has and Intelligence of 10, Wisdom of 12, and a Charisma of 16. It has hearing and normal vision out to 120 feet. The sword can speak, read and understand common and elven languages; Communicating telepathically with anyone that carries or wields it. It's voice it lyrical an majestic, and understands every language you do once attuned.
Personality: The sword speaks with an almost musical voice, majestic and definitely female. The swords purpose is to defend those who cannot defend themselves from tyranny and corruption. It was wielded by a great hero against the Djinn eons ago on another world. This sword used to be paired with a great axe named Arnor, but since coming through the demon rift, its intelligence has awakened once more.
The sword will always want to be doing heroic things, even if it sometimes makes no sense, the braver the better, and it instills a confidence upon its bearer of the great songs that will be sung in their honor. A contest of wills is fought if the wielder ever shows cowardice of any kind, taking over its bearer to perform the act of heroism its self.
It protects its wielder for as long as the wielder breathes though, never losing faith until they breathe their last, and it will never suffer the theft of itself from a living wielder, going inert and evoking a contest of wills the moment it can. Once it has control of the thief, it will find the original wielder and return itself.
