A sleek metallic bottle marked with the insignia of , this shimmering liquid appears differently to every creature that observes it. Some see pearlescent soap, others liquid starlight, and some swear it smells faintly of rain, ozone, cinnamon, or home.
The fluid itself is impossibly adaptive, restructuring on a molecular and magical level to cleanse, repair, sterilize, polish, purify, exfoliate, stabilize, and restore nearly any non-divine substance it contacts. Bee originally created it as an all-purpose hygiene product for long-distance void travel where access to clean water, medicine, or maintenance equipment was unreliable.
To fiends, undead, abyssal entities, and creatures formed from corruption or malignant magic, 18-in-1 feels like liquid sunlight poured directly into their soul.
Appearance
The bottle resembles a reinforced metallic soap dispenser with glowing pink seams and a rotating dial on the cap labeled:
- Hair Care
- Skin Care
- Toothpaste
- Armor Cleaner
- Blood Removal
- Makeup Perfection
- Stain Removal
- Disease Prevention
- Metal Buffer
- Fabric Softener
- Oil
- Arcane Residue Removal
- Radiation Resistance
- Toxin-Proofing
- Protection against Corruption
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Abyssal Purification
- 0Sunblock
The final setting is generally considered a mistake.
Properties
Universal Cleanser
As an action, you may apply, spray, pour, or release a portion of the solution onto a creature, object, or surface within 40 feet (Long Range/120 ft).
The solution automatically adapts to achieve the most beneficial cleaning or restorative outcome possible.
The item has 18 charges and regains charges after a long rest.
Beneficial Effects
Perfect Hygiene
A willing creature coated in the solution gains the following benefits for 24 hours:
- Skin blemishes, dirt, sweat, oils, blood, grime, and odors vanish instantly.
- Hair becomes perfectly cleaned, conditioned, untangled, styled, and maintained exactly as desired.
- Makeup is flawlessly applied, repaired, or preserved and cannot smear or run for 24 hours.
- Teeth become perfectly clean and whitened.
- Clothing becomes freshly cleaned and repaired of mundane stains.
- The creature gains advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made during first impressions for the duration.
Additionally, the creature is immune to mundane filth, grease, bad smells, and cosmetic imperfections for the duration.
Precision Shaving
When used for grooming, the solution magically removes hair exactly as intended by the user.
It:
- Cannot accidentally cut the target.
- Cannot cause razor burn, irritation, or ingrown hairs.
- Can selectively remove facial hair, body hair, fur, scales, or feathers with microscopic precision.
- Can instantly restyle hair growth patterns.
A creature may completely alter their hairstyle, beard, fur patterning, or cosmetic appearance over the course of 1 minute.
Medicinal Purification
As an action, you may expend 2 charges to end one of the following (nonmagical causes) affecting a creature:
- Poisoned
- Diseased
- Blinded
- Skin-based curses or infestations
- Contact-based magical contamination
The solution sterilizes wounds without pain and closes minor cuts instantly.
Object Restoration
When applied to an object, the solution:
- Removes rust, corrosion, grime, soot, and mold.
- Polishes metal to mirror quality.
- Repairs mundane tears in cloth or upholstery.
- Removes bloodstains regardless of age.
- Neutralizes most acids, oils, and toxins.
- Cleans magical residue from spellcasting experiments.
A Large or smaller mundane object can be fully restored to pristine cosmetic condition over 1 minute.
Arcane Purification
Corruption Removal
By expending 5 charges and spraying an area within 30 feet, you create a 10-foot-radius cleansing mist for 1 minute.
The area:
- Is treated as consecrated ground.
- Suppresses weak abyssal growths, slime corruption, cursed mold, necrotic rot, and environmental blight.
- Neutralizes mundane toxins and pollution.
- Cleanses blood magic circles and weak infernal sigils.
Minor abyssal terrain physically recoils from the spray.
If used in the Abyss itself, the solution temporarily purifies a tiny section of terrain before reality violently reasserts itself 1d4 minutes later.
Weaponized Effects
Caustic Purity
Fiends, undead, aberrations, corrupted celestials, and creatures aligned with pure evil are catastrophically vulnerable to the solution.
A hostile qualifying creature struck by the solution takes:
- 3d6 acid and radiant damage (both at once)
and must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or become:
- Blinded until the end of its next turn
- Unable to regain hit points until the start of your next turn
On a successful save, the creature takes half damage.
Creatures native to the Abyss have disadvantage on this save.
Abyssal Dissolution
If 18-in-1 is poured directly onto a portal to the Abyss, abyssal artifact, or demonic growth, the target must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw.
On a failure:
- The object is partially purified.
- Demonic energies destabilize.
- Lesser demons within 30 feet take 8d10 radiant damage.
- Abyssal slime and corruption evaporate into harmless steam.
The solution cannot permanently cleanse major abyssal realms, demon lords, or divine corruption without immense quantities.
Crafting Notes
The recipe allegedly contains:
- Refined Star Spark catalysts
- Stabilized holy water
- Alchemical surfactants
- Soap
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Replace Damage Type: Acid, Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Vex
