At first glance, this spear appears to be junk. Jagged veins of reddish-brown discoloration creep across the spearhead like dried blood beneath cracked iron. The shaft is made from dark, age-blackened oak bound in iron rings. Despite its appearance, the spear itself remains unnaturally sturdy. The rust covering it never weakens the weapon, only whatever it strikes.
Rust: Any nonmagical metal armor struck by this spear corrodes. After dealing damage, the weapon inflicts a permanent and cumulative −1 penalty to AC bonuses provided by the armor. If its penalty drops to −5, the armor is destroyed.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
