This item magically sends the location of a person or object to the original wielder of the gem and emits a dull green glow.
When affixed to a creature, the creature can either willingly accept the gem or the wielder can make a melee attack to affix the gem against the creatures AC. The gem remains on the creature until the wielder releases the enchantment, or the creature/wielder dies. The gems signal can be disrupted through the use of a "Dispell Magic" spell the gem remains affixed to the target creature however the signal is cut off for 1d4 hours.
When affixed to an object (such as a cart or chest) the gem remains affixed to the object for 48 hours after which it falls off, inactive. If dispell magic is cast on the gem when affixed to the target object, then the gem will deactivate and detach.
If the object or target creature is sent to an alternate plain of existence the signal is disrupted.
