When a massive horde of orcs swept through the Sword Mountains and besieged Phandalin centuries ago, Sir Aldith stood his ground at the manor's gates, wielding Talon until he was finally overrun. The sword was lost in the ruins of the manor's cellars, waiting in the dark for a new champion to take up its mantle.
