Weapon (longsword), rare

Forged in a bygone era when Phandalin was a bustling and prosperous town, this exquisite longsword is a testament to master craftsmanship. The blade is meticulously silvered, gleaming with a cold, pristine light even in the darkest dungeons. It is flawlessly balanced, feeling lighter in the hand than a blade of its size has any right to be.

The weapon's hilt is a work of martial art. The crossguard is cast from darkened steel and shaped into the majestic, spread wings of a hunting eagle. The dark leather grip, smoothed by years of use but still remarkably sturdy, leads down to a distinctive pommel sculpted into the fierce, sharp-beaked head of a hawk.

History:
This blade once belonged to a great knight named Sir Aldith Tresander, known to his allies as the "Black Hawk." Sir Aldith was the lord of Tresandar Manor and a staunch defender of the North. When a massive horde of orcs swept through the Sword Mountains and besieged Phandalin centuries ago, Sir Aldith stood his ground at the manor's gates, wielding Talon until he was finally overrun. The sword was lost in the ruins of the manor's cellars, waiting in the dark for a new champion to take up its mantle.

Mechanical Details (D&D 5e):
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Additionally, because the weapon is silvered, its attacks bypass resistances and immunities to nonmagical attacks that aren't silvered.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
