Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a creature trained as an Artificer)

This reinforced arcanic harness is fitted with layered banicyte wiring, kinetic focusing coils, and pressure-sensitive conductor plates. It is worn over or beneath armor and is designed to synchronize with the artificer’s own infused equipment, drawing power through their personal magical engineering rather than operating as a self-contained enchantment.

While attuned to the harness, you can integrate it with your artificer infusions during a short or long rest. Choose one item on your person that bears one of your artificer infusions. That item becomes the harness’s kinetic conduit until you finish another short or long rest, or until the infusion ends.

Kinetic Field

As a bonus action, you activate the harness, creating a visible field of force energy in a 15-foot radius around you. The field lasts for 1 minute, until you dismiss it, or until you are incapacitated.

For the duration, the field moves with you and has the following effects:

  • Hostile creatures of your choice treat the area of the field as difficult terrain.
  • When a hostile creature of your choice starts its turn in the field, it must make a Strength saving throw against your artificer spell save DC. On a failed save, its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of its next turn.

You can activate the field once, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. You can also activate it again by expending an artificer spell slot of 2nd level or higher.

Force-Conductive Strikes

While your Kinetic Field is active, your attacks deal an extra 2d6 force damage to targets within the radius, on a hit.

Gaussic Snare

When a creature you can see within your Kinetic Field attempts to move out of the field, you can use your reaction to force it to make a Strength saving throw against your artificer spell save DC.

On a failed save, the creature’s speed becomes 0 until the end of the current turn.

You can use this reaction up to 3 times, which reset upon a long rest.
