Carved from a single piece of volcanic obsidian found deep beneath the islands of the Caribbean, this wrist-mounted blade is polished to a mirror finish. The weapon predates the metal blades of Europe by generations. Its edge is sharper than any forged steel — and its face reflects the world back at you in a way that unsettles even the bravest souls.
This weapon is worn mounted to the wrist and cannot be removed by any creature other than the attuned wearer. It cannot be disarmed.
Assassination Strike. When you attack a creature that is unaware of your presence — not merely surprised, but genuinely not expecting an attack (for example, a target that is asleep, unaware of combat, or focused entirely elsewhere) — the attack deals an extra 2d6 piercing damage. The target must then succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be Stunned until the end of its next turn.
The Reflection. As a bonus action, you may angle the blade toward one creature within 5 feet of you. That creature must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened of you until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, or after the effect ends, the creature is immune to The Reflection from this blade for 24 hours.
Rogue Synergy. If you are a Rogue, this weapon always qualifies for your Sneak Attack feature, even if no ally is within 5 feet of the target.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
Notes: any character with a Dexterity score of 13 or higher, Finesse, Light, Thrown, Nick
