The Archivist is a magical artifact that is only spoken of in legends and is one of the most sought after magical weapons in the universe. Tales of it's appearance vary greatly from story to story however it's true form is that of a 6ft tall onyx pillar that seems to form into a natural spiral, beneath it's smooth surface a faint green light can be seen gently beating away.
After attuning to the Archivist the wizard claims it as their spell book and receives a pair of spectacles that materialize from the ether, these glasses are made of a similar material to the Archivist but are uniquely designed for the caster, while the caster is wearing the spectacles, is within 100 miles of Archivist , and Archivist is considered the casters' spell book, they can use all spells in their spell book as if they are prepared spells.
As a free action on the caster's turn, they can make an arcana check on a target creature they can see with a DC equal to a deception check made by that creature, on a success they now know that creature's stat block. The caster can only use this ability so long as they are wearing the spectacles.
