Forged in the Burning Depths of the Hells, Ashrender drinks in heat and violence alike. Molten veins pulse beneath its blackened steel, and each strike scatters embers that never quite cool.
Ash Burst (1/Long Rest)
As an action, Ashrender may be driven into the ground, releasing a wave of infernal flame in a 20-foot radius.
Creatures of your choice in the area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw.
- Failure: 8d6 Fire damage and knocked prone
- Success: Half damage and not knocked prone
D&D Beyond can’t automate this very well, so put it in the item’s description.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Fire, Attunement. To attune to Ashrender, a creature must spend a short rest holding the blade while exposed to an open flame. During attunement, the weapon grows warm to the touch and faint whispers of crackling embers echo in the wielder’s mind. Upon completion, the blade’s molten veins ignite with a dim crimson glow visible only to its attuned bearer., Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
