This +2 maul, forged from the skull of an necromantic wolf, has gained some of its' necrotic properties...
Pelt of Shadows This weapon deals an additional d12 of necrotic damage, shrouding it's wielder in the tainted ichor of their enemies, granting them temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt (if the wielder has more than 1 attack, whichever d12 roll is higher will be the temp hp they receive per turn).
Pack Protection The first time the wielder drops to 0 HP, they instead drop to 1 hp and a pack of wolf spirits explode from the Maul's Skull (the quantity summoned is equal to the wielder's proficiency bonus), they act after the wielder's turn and are controlled by the DM, though they tend to join the wielder in attacking whatever they're swinging the maul at. Once this property is utilized it cannot happen again until the dawn of the next day.
Alpha Tactics Whenever attacking with this maul while an allied wolf-like creature is in melee of the same target, the wielder gains advantage on their strikes.
Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Necrotic, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Topple
