Amulet of Sixfold Fortune
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)
This amulet is a thin chain of darkened silver holding a circular medallion fractured into six uneven segments. Each segment is etched with a faint sigil representing one of the mortal faculties.
Sixfold Luck
While wearing this amulet, you gain six luck points, each one tied to a stat: Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma.
Each Luck point is separate and cannot be transferred, combined, or shared.
When you make an ability check or skill check, you can expend the corresponding Luck point to reroll the d20. You must use the new roll.
You can choose to use this feature after rolling the d20, but before the DM determines whether the check succeeds or fails.
Restrictions
You can only use a Luck point when the check uses its corresponding ability score. For example:
Strength: Athletics or raw Strength checks
Dexterity: Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand, Stealth
Constitution: Constitution checks (such as holding your breath)
Intelligence: Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, Religion
Wisdom: Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Perception, Survival
Charisma: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion
The amulet has no effect on attack rolls, saving throws, or damage rolls.
Fate’s Debt
All expended Luck points are regained when you finish a long rest.
If you expend all six Luck points before finishing a long rest, you immediately gain 1d4 levels of exhaustion as fate exacts its toll for over-correcting chance.
