A simple, small crossbow made from wood with fancy patterns carved into it. It's groove and mechanism has been modified to hold glass vials instead of bolts.
When firing this crossbow, but before rolling an attack you can pick one of the following effects, that are applied to the target on hit:
- Vial of poison. The target must make a DC 13 con save. On a fail they take 2d6 poison damage or half as much on a success
- Vial of trickery. Until the start of the target's next turn, it can't make opportunity attacks
- Vial of ferocity. Whenever the target makes an attack it takes 1d4 fire damage. They can end this effect by succeeding on a DC 13 con save at the end of each of the creatures turns
- Vial of recklessness. The target cannot take the disengage action, nor use it's movement to retreat.
- Vial of tension. Whenever the target would be healed, reduce incoming healing by 1d6
- Vial of corrosion. The target's AC is lowered by 2 until the start of it's next turn
Only one affect can be applied to one target at once. Applying a new effect removes the old one. All effects expire after 10 minutes
