If you are attuned to the armor, the +1 bonus to AC also applies when the druid is wild shaping into another creature. The armor merges with the skin of the animal, leaving the fur, plummage or hide with an intricate pattern of stripes.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
