Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a Bards)

It is said that this instrument was carved from a single piece of wood taken from the throne of the Lord of Hell. Its notes do not vibrate in the air, but directly within the listener's bones.

• When you use your Bardic Inspiration, the target also becomes immune to fear and fire damage for one round. If, however, you use the die to affect an enemy (via a subclass feature), that enemy must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be Dominated (as per the *Dominate Monster* spell) until the end of its next turn.

• Each time you cast an enchantment spell, the Lute accumulates a "Note of Fire." You can expend up to 5 accumulated notes to empower a fire spell: each note adds 2d6 extra damage and increases the spell's save DC by +1 for that casting.

• If you drop to 0 hit points, the Lute plays a final, dissonant note. All creatures within 60 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they are Paralyzed by terror and pain for 1 minute. You return to 1 hit point and become invisible until you attack or cast a spell.
