Amulet of Dragon Warding
This legendary artifact was forged to withstand and hunt the ultimate draconic threats. The item consists of a golden base and two component shards. Once the components are combined, the artifact reaches its full potential.
Component: Shard of Righting
Made entirely out of pure gold, this piece forms the main housing of the artifact. It is circular in nature, with sculpted golden flames licking around its outside edge. Looking closely at the face of the circle, there are two distinct, empty inlays—one shaped like a donut, and a smaller circular socket meant for a gemstone.
While holding or wearing the Shard of Righting, you can use it to cast the following spells (using your spellcasting ability modifier, or a +4 modifier if you do not have one):
- Cure Wounds: 1 charge per level of spell up to 5 charges
- Protection from Poison: 2 charges
- Remove Curse: 3 charges
- Raise Dead: 5 charges

Component: Shard of Finding
This donut-shaped ring is forged from pristine platinum and fits perfectly into the larger inlay of the Shard of Righting. Etched along its metallic surface are Draconic runes translating to "Detect Dragon."
While holding or wearing this shard, you gain the following benefits:
- Draconic Awareness: You can use an action to cast detect dragons. This allows you to perceive any dragon or dragon-kind creature within a 120-foot range. This sense functions regardless of any disguises, illusions, or alteration magic the creature is using to hide its true nature.
- Ambush Warning: The shard flashes with a bright blue light whenever a dragon or dragon-kind creature is actively setting up an ambush against you or your immediate party.
- Frigid Blast: Once per day, you can use an action to unleash a devastating blast, casting Cone of Cold at the 9th level (dealing 12d8 cold damage; save DC 17).

Component: Shard of Shielding
This component is a large, masterfully cut red ruby that fits perfectly into the center circular inlay of the Shard of Righting.
While holding or carrying this gemstone, you gain resistance to fire damage and resistance to cold damage.

Assembled: Combined Artifact
When the Shard of Finding (the platinum donut) and the Shard of Shielding (the ruby gem) are embedded into the Shard of Righting (the golden flame base), the item becomes the complete Amulet of Dragon Warding.
- Shared Magic: While attuned and wearing the completed amulet, you gain all of the individual benefits, spellcasting options, and protections of the three independent shards at the same time.
- Spell Turning: The completed amulet crackles with an anti-magic sheen. While wearing this ring, you have Advantage on saving throws against spells. If you succeed on the save for a spell of level 7 or lower, the spell has no effect on you. If that spell targeted only you and didn’t create an area of effect, you can take a Reaction to deflect the spell back at the spell’s caster; the caster must make a saving throw against the spell using their own spell save DC.

The Amulet has 20 charges and regains all charges at Dawn.
