Weapon (dagger), very rare

Forged from the gleaming violet scale of an ancient amethyst dragon, this exquisite dagger hums with quiet psychic power. Its crystalline edge never dulls, and faint whispers seem to echo from within the blade whenever it is drawn. Bound within the dagger is the soul of a mysterious being whose identity and purpose remain known only to the Dungeon Master. Upon attuning to the dagger, you immediately become aware of the soul's presence as it begins speaking directly into your mind.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

On a hit, the dagger deals its normal piercing damage plus an extra 1d12 Psychic damage.

Mind-Shattering Strike. Twice per day, when you hit a creature with this dagger, you can force it to make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is both Stunned and Paralyzed for 1d4 rounds. At the start of each of your turns, beginning with your next turn, the creature can repeat the saving throw, ending both conditions on a success.

The soul bound within the dagger is intelligent, aware of its surroundings, and communicates telepathically with its attuned wielder. Its personality, motives, memories, and true identity are determined by the Dungeon Master and may reveal themselves over the course of the campaign.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
