This elegant quill is crafted from a feather that shimmers with arcane light, set into a silver shaft etched with runes of inscription. It writes in a flowing script of faintly glowing silver that fades after a few minutes unless the words are meant to be permanent---such as recording a spell into a spellbook.
Properties.
Self-Inking. The quill requires no ink to write. When used, it produces its own arcane inscription that glows faintly silver as it is written.
Perfect for Spells. When you use the quill to copy a spell into a spellbook, the process is no different from normal except no ink is required.
Unlimited Use. The quill can be used an unlimited number of times and never runs out of ink or loses its ability to write.
Faint but Flawless. The writing produced by the quill is faintly luminescent and fades from view after a short time (about 10 minutes) unless it is inscribed into a spellbook or preserved by another magic effect. This helps prevent prying eyes from reading your notes.
