You gain the following benefits while wearing the Adamant Crown:
Legend. You are Legendary and you move with uncanny speed. You can take up to 1 Legendary Action each round at the end of another creature's turn.
- Choose 1 Legendary Action each round:
- Star Mote - fire a Mote from the Crown of Stars. Doing so uses a charge. You can do this in addition to using your Bonus Action to fire a Star Mote each round.
- Move up to 60 feet and/or take the Melee Attack action.
- Spell - cast a spell you know, or cast a spell using the Crown of Stars.
Crown of Stars. Seven Stars circle the Crown, creating a halo of light above the wearer's head. These seven stars act like the Crown of Stars, except their duration is unlimited. Each time you use a star/mote, it is expended until you long rest under the open stars while wearing the crown (Star Rest). This long rest will replenish your crown's stars, but will not replenish your health or spell slots.
- Star Mote: uses Bonus Action - 120 ft. range Spell Attack - 4d12 Radiant damage on hit.
Light in the Darkness. The Crown emits a 30-foot Emanation of Dim Light. When at least one Undead is within that area, the Emanation is filled with Bright Light. Any Undead that starts its turn in that area takes 1d8 Radiant damage.
Mutable Form. As a Bonus Action you can transform the Adamant Crown into a Pendant, or into a Bedazzled Pony Shirt. When in Pendant form, the item is much less noticeable. When using a Bonus Action to transform the Crown into a Pendant, you can also choose to make the Pendant invisible. The item does not cast the Light in the Darkness emanation in Pendant form, nor does the Crown of Stars remain active when in Pendant form. You cannot use Regal Aura when the crown is in Pendant form.
When in Bedazzled Pony Shirt form, the Crown of Stars remains hovering above the user's head, and the Crown otherwise operates as normal, but is still very noticeable.
Regal Aura. Once per day, you can force any number of creatures of your choice within 60 feet of you to make a DC 20 CHA save, or become your choice of frightened of you or charmed by you for 1 minute.
You can cast Command 3 times each day without expending a spell slot.
Wildkeeper's Call. Once per day, you can cast Conjure Animals at 5th level (4 CR of Creatures) as a Bonus Action without expending a spell slot. This spell does not require concentration (although you cannot simultaneously cast another instance of Conjure Animals). When conjuring these nature spirits, you may choose an Elemental Damage Type. If you do, the spirits take on the appearance and damage type of that element (i.e. fire wolves, lightning snakes).
Druidic Spirit.. You are completely attuned with Nature. You gain the following benefits:
- You have a swim speed of 100 ft / round, and you can stand or walk on water
- You have a fly speed of 20 ft / round
- You cannot age, be poisoned, or become ill
- You gain an additional 3 Sorcery Points per day
- You can use 2 Sorcery Points in place of a Wildshape charge
- You can cast spells and maintain concentration on spells while Wildshaped
- You can maintain a Starry Form while Wildshaped
Hidden Presence. While wearing this Crown, you and anyone you choose within a one mile radius of you cannot be tracked by the Ring of Connection, even when bearing other Adamant Rings. You and anyone you choose within one mile cannot be detected with any form of Divination magic less than a level 9 spell. You are protected as if under the effects of Nondetection.
Divine Connection. Once each day, you may say the name of an Adamant Ring. The spoken Ring becomes tracked by the Adamant Crown - the Adamant Crystal at the center of the Crown will glow with Dim Light when the wearer is facing the direction of the tracked Ring. If the wearer of the Crown is within 10 miles of the tracked Ring and facing it, the Adamant Crystal will glow with Bright Light.
Conjure Flames. You can take a Magic action to cause any weapon(s) you are holding to burst into flame. The flames emit Bright Light in a 20-foot radius and Dim Light for an additional 10 feet. The flames are harmless to you and the weapon. When you hit with an attack using the blazing weapon, the target takes an extra 1d10 Fire or Radiant damage (you choose damage type when conjuring the flames). The flames last until you take a Bonus Action to extinguish them or until you drop or stow the weapon.
Taking Fire Damage. Roll 1d20 if you are wearing the crown and would take Fire damage (though immune when wearing the crown). On a roll of 1, the diadem emits beams of light from its gems. Each creature within a 120-foot Emanation originating from you must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or be struck by a beam, taking Radiant damage. Determine Radiant damage by rolling 2d10 to determine the number of radiant beams released from gems on the crown. Then roll that many d6 to determine the damage.
Spells. You can use an Action or a Legendary Action to cast one of the following spells (save DC 18):
- 1x per day: Daylight, Mass Healing Word, Revivify, Prismatic Spray
- 3x per day Fireball cast at Lvl 4, Wall of Fire, Healing Word
Background:
An ancient artifact that survived the lost kingdom of Pyrin Leya, this crown became the Royal Symbol of Rule for the God Queens of Illiakô. Astoria Illiakata left it for her faithful Dawnkeeper, Falabella, to find - and to carry on the legacy of the Golden Empire, and the hope a brighter future in the face of the Windhand's return.
Falabella and the Dawnbreakers travelled through the stars to seek the Starforge of Aqires, and the help of Azaradraakadon, in order to forge new weapons to match the Divine Network of their Enemy. And so the Star Crown of Pyrin Leya was reforged into the Adamant Crown.
This diadem is inlaid with many fantastic gems. Around and above the gems and the tiara itself, 7 tiny glowing stars circle in the air - creating a luminescent halo above the Crown.
This crown is set with 11 diamonds, 22 rubies, 22 emeralds, 22 sapphires, 33 fire opals, and 57 opals.
Notes: Immunity: Fire, Damage: Radiant, Immunity: Poison, Immunity: Poisoned, Resistance: Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks, Falabella Wildkeeper, the Druid Queen for whom it was forged
