Amulet of Guardian Flame

This eye shaped amulet was crafted to wield the latent magical energy of the tooth of Glit-Shar it contains.

Once per day the wearer of the amulet can activate it as a bonus action. While active this amulet sheds bright light for 15 feet and dim light for an additional 15 feet.   As part of the activation the area within 10 feet of the wearer becomes superheated with dragon fire.  When entering this area for the first time on a turn or starting their turn in this area takes 1d8 fire damage. This damage also applies whenever a creature hits the wearer with a melee attack while within 10 feet.   This activation ends after 10 minutes or can be ended early as a bonus action.  This item recharges daily at dawn.
