A long, elegant katana-style blade, roughly 5–6 feet long, permanently integrated into the Warforged’s forearm. When activated, mechanical plates slide apart and the weapon extends into the Warforged’s hand. The blade has a slightly curved single edge, with a traditional Japanese-inspired hilt and a mechanical guard.
Mechanically: It functions as a Greatsword:
- Damage:
2d6 slashing - Properties: Heavy, Two-Handed
- Armblade: You cannot be disarmed of this weapon.
- Integrated Weapon: While not deployed, the blade folds into or rests along your forearm and is concealed as part of your body.
- Katana Appearance: The weapon looks like a giant katana/nodachi, but uses normal greatsword rules.
This keeps the weapon balanced for 5e while giving your Warforged Samurai a very cool anime/mechanical katana aesthetic.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Weapon (greatsword), special — requires attunement by a Warforged, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
