A pair of sophisticated artificial eyes built primarily for cybernetics detection and analysis.They were originally developed for technicians, military inspectors, cybernetic surgeons, and security personnel who needed to determine exactly how augmented someone was without putting them through a physical examination.
Enhanced Optics. The Augur Eyes completely replace the user's natural eyes. You gain:
- Darkvision out to 120 feet.
- Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sight.
- You can clearly focus on objects as small as writing from 100 feet away.
- You ignore disadvantage on Perception checks caused by lightly obscured areas.
Cybernetic Sight. As a bonus action, you can activate the eyes' primary scanning mode. Make an Intelligence (Investidatoin) check. The DC depends upon the technology. For 1 minute, cybernetic components within 60 feet appear highlighted to you, even when installed inside a living creature. You can determine whether a creature possesses cybernetic augmentations simply by looking at it. This vision can penetrate ordinary clothing and light armor for the purpose of detecting machinery only. It does not provide anatomical vision through clothing.
The Augur doesn't automatically tell you what every unknown implant actually does.
