A oak-and-gold shield containing a fragment of celestial light inside a red amulet gleaming with warm energy. The light within grows brighter whenever its bearer suffers injury on behalf of another.
Guardian's Intercession
When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to magically move up to your speed toward that creature.
If you end this movement within 5 feet of the creature:
-
You become the target, you take the damage. The attacker has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the start of your next turn.
-
This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
You can use this ability once per short rest.
Life for Life
As a bonus action, you may sacrifice your own vitality to restore another creature.
You take 1d6 damage. A creature you can see within 10 feet of you regains 1d6 + your Charisma modifier hit points.
If the target is unconscious, it instead regains 1d6 hit points and becomes conscious.
You cannot use this ability if the damage would reduce you below 1 hit point.
You can use this ability once per short rest.
Challenge
As an action, you slam the shield and issue a thunderous challenge.
Each hostile creature of your choice within 10 feet of you that can hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier.
On a failed save, until the start of your next turn:
-
The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you.
-
If it willingly moves farther away from you, its speed is reduced by to 0 until the end of its turn.
On a successful save, the creature is unaffected.
You can use this ability once per round.
