Weapon (dagger), uncommon

A Main-Gouche is a specific type of fencing dagger typically paired with a fencing sword such as a Rapier, Saber, Shortsword, or Scimitar. A main-gouche is a Martial Weapon that does not have the Thrown property.

  • When wielding a main-gouche and any one-handed fencing sword, you can use two-weapon fighting even if the fencing sword you are wielding isn’t light.
  • While wielding a main-gouche and a fencing sword, if you do not use your bonus action to make a two-weapon fighting attack then you have a +1 bonus to your AC until the beginning of your next turn.
  • You can draw or stow a main-gouche and a fencing sword when you would normally be able to draw or stow only one.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and whenever this weapon grants you a bonus to your AC, you have a +1 bonus that is in addition to the weapon’s normal bonus to AC.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
