This glowing blue longsword, capable of speech, shouts out references when they might occur. For example, you are defending people, keeping back monsters, the longsword of references with glow brightly for a few seconds while aggressively shouting, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!." The sword might also say, "The force is strong with that one," if it sees magic that severely injured someone, killed someone, or lifted an object up. If your party is obviously winning against a monster or some other being in combat or something else it could say, "Resistance is futile."
Other than these comical references, the longsword of references is used to attack, it is a normal longsword.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
