This seasoned leather armor, studded with pointed stones of obsidian, was crafted by a long lost Druid in an age forgotten to time. The armor is of four pieces, laced together by leather straps; chest, back, and shoulders. The chest and back fit well on an average humanoid of around 5'8", and the shoulder pieces are 8 inches in diameter. Each part is flexible and able to be bent and formed to fit most bodies. While attuned and active, the armor turns from the deep brown to a dark brownish-green color.
As the wearer increases in Druid level, so too do the benefits granted by this enchanted armor. Each of the levels described below refer to a character's Druid level. These benefits stack with the benefits gained at lower levels.
3rd: You gain +3 to your AC as long as you're wearing this armor and not Wild Shaped.
8th: You gain +3 to your AC even while you are in Wild Shape. The creature you Wild Shape into, as a result, is colored in such a way as to blend in with its surroundings; thus giving you advantage on all Stealth rolls while in the environment or area you Wild Shaped within. Additionally, while Wild Shaped in this way, you may use your bonus action to Hide.
10th: You can now gain an additional 1d8 per CR level of the Wild Shape form you are currently in when you use a bonus action to expend one spell slot and regain 1d8 hit points per level of the spell slot expended. (CR2 beast using 2nd level spell slot: 2d8 + 2d8 HP regained)
12th: You can Wild Shape into Monstrosities with a CR level equal to your Druid Level divided by 4, rounded up. Additionally, whenever you Wild Shape, your HP equals the maximum HP possible for the creature.
15th: You can cast conjuration spells as a bonus action instead, regardless of the stated casting time, as long as you use a spell slot at least 2 levels higher than the level you are effectively casting the spell. You may also expend an additional spell slot of the effective casting level in order to cast the conjuration spell without needing to concentrate on it. If you choose to do this, the spell lasts for the maximum stated duration. (ex. To cast Conjure Elemental as a 7th level spell for the full duration without needing to concentrate requires you to expend a 7th level spell slot as well as a 9th level spell slot.)
18th: You can Wild Shape into any Beast, Dragon, Elemental, Fey, Monstrosity, or Plant of a CR level equal to half your Druid level, rounded up. You can only Wild Shape into creatures you have seen in person before. You can do this once per day, starting at midnight.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
