Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement by a by a Human with 18 strength or higher.)

The Armor of Strengthening is a set of Magical Plate Armor that makes the wearer stronger the longer they wear it at the cost of making them weaker while they are wearing it. The armor of strengthening locks the wearer's maximum HP to the amount that it was when they first put it on. While they are wearing it, the wearer has a -6 to all weapon attack rolls and Strength or Dexterity saving throws.

For every week the wearer has the Armor of Strengthening on, they gain additional maximum Hp when they take it off. The longer that the armor is worn, the faster the bonuses accumulate.

For the first 8 weeks, the wearer gains 1d4 additional max hp every week. From weeks 9-16 they gain 1d6 every week. For week 17-24 they gain 1d8 every week. Weeks 25-50 are 1d10 every week. Finally on weeks 51+ the attuned creature gains 1d12 hit points every week. If they attuned creature is a barbarian, the dice rolled for hit point gain is 1 tier higher 9 (from a d4 to a d6, or a d12 to a d20).

Additionally, depending on the class wearing the armor, they may gain more bonuses; for fighters, they gain 1 strength every 20 weeks; for Paladins, they gain 1 constitution every 20 weeks; for Monks, they gain 1 Dexterity every 20 weeks; for Rogues, they gain 1 dexterity every 15 weeks; finally for Rangers, they gain 1 dexterity every 12 weeks.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
