This ebony wood, brass capped staff, can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it, and a +2 bonus to your spell attack rolls while you're attuned to it.
Charges. The staff has 30 charges. It regains 2d6 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn. After the the last charge is spent the inate abilities cantinue to work, all at will, attack and saving throw adjustments.
Spell Absorption. While holding the staff, you have advantage on saving throws against spells. In addition, you can use your reaction when another creature casts a spell that targets only you. If you do, the staff absorbs the magic of the spell, canceling its effect and gaining a number of charges equal to the absorbed spell's level. If the staff has 30 charges or there aren't enough charges to absorb, the spell takes effect normally.
At-Will Utility. You can use the staff to cast the following spells at will, requiring no charges and no spell slot:
alarm
comprehend languages
light
mage hand
mending
prestidigitation
purify food and drink
Zelazny's Arcane Create Water
Zelazny's Clean
Zelazny's Arcane Campfire
Zelazny's Waterproofing
You use your own spellcasting ability and spell save DC for these.
Charged Spells. You can expend charges to cast the following spells from the staff, using your own spellcasting ability, spell save DC, and caster level for their effects:
1 charge:
invisibility (1 charge)
knock (1 charge)
web (1 charge)
Zelazny's Summon Object (1 charge)
2 charges:
dispel magic (2 charges)
Zelazny's Conceal Campsite (2 charges)
3 charges:
ice storm (3 charges)
wall of fire (3 charges)
Zelazny's Arcane Create Food and Water (3 charges)
4 charges:
passwall (4 charges)
telekinesis (4 charges)
wall of force (4 charges)
Zelazny's Recall Object (4 charges)
5 charges:
conjure elemental (5 charges)
fireball (7th-level version, 5 charges)
lightning bolt (7th-level version, 5 charges)
plane shift (5 charges)
Your homebrew spells (Zelazny's Summon Object, Conceal Campsite, etc.) aren't in D&D Beyond's spell database, so the [spell] tag won't have anything to link to — those stay as plain text unless you've created them as custom spell entries in your own D&D Beyond homebrew collection, in which case they'd link the same way once published there.
Notes: Bonus: Spell Attacks, Advantage: Saving Throws, Bonus: Melee Weapon Attacks, Wizard
