Ascalon is a weapon created by Azmuth centuries ago, before the creation of the Omnitrix.
Ascalon was designed to tap into the fundamental forces of the universe itself, thus it can "cleave right through" and manipulate reality.
When someone picks up and wills themselves to use Ascalon, it continuously empowers the user with great strength and youth if they are in a weakened and old state, respectively. After which, Ascalon envelops its user in full blue-silver medieval armor (complete with a hilt). This armor can protect its user from many physical blows, as well as energy attacks like explosive manna blasts; although it still conducts electricity. Its visor can shield against bright light. The armor also has the power to, from its hands, glow with white energy and project waves of it with lethal force. Ascalon's user can choose to retreat the armor back into the sword, and the sword automatically does so if its user dies or is teleported to a different dimension.
As a sword, Ascalon is incredibly durable and strong. It could puncture the Seal; cut through metal in one slice; block bullets, such as those generated by Ultimate Vaxasaurians; and survive the explosion of an entire planet. It is also particularly good at blocking, cutting through, and bouncing back all types of energy attacks: from Anodites; Esoterica; Ultimate Vilgax; and Dagon alike.
Ascalon is an incredible reality warping device, even described by its creator as a weapon of terrible power that renders its wielder unstoppable. Misuse of its power has resulted in the destruction of a planet; while other uses were able to reverse Dagon's Esoterica-transforming wave on all the people of the Earth and affect the Ultimatrix to revert Ben in alien form back to human. Combined with Dagon and Vilgax's power, Ascalon was even theorized to able to change fundamental aspects of the universe, such as eliminating all evil.
When swung, Ascalon can cut size-irrelevant gashes into targets that are thousands of feet away. The sword can even be swung to shoot out a gigantic white beam in the shape of its slash which, at its weakest, can break through rock, and at its strongest, can damage the Dagon.
One swing of Ascalon can tear through space itself and create a temporary rift to be able to teleport its user.
Ascalon can generate electricity; shoot electric-adjacent beams; and can conjure a dome shield around enemies using an electric beam.
If Ascalon is spun around, it can generate a whirlwind of such high speeds to be able to blow away a Vaxasaurian.
Ascalon can generate light to illuminate dark areas or blind enemies.
Ascalon can drain the strength and power from an enemy through stabbing them.
Ascalon can protect its user from Dagon's mind controlling abilities, even if the helmet from their armor is lost.
Ascalon can levitate in place on its own. If it is separated from its user, they can will the sword to fly back to their hand.
