Wondrous Item, rare

What at first glance appears like a small play oven made of wood is actually a wonder of conjuration, evocation, and transmutation magic. First devised by a wizard turned travelling chef, Actual Play Kitchens are now as indispensable as Bags of Holding for culinary-minded adventurers and camping enthusiasts.

Everything and the Kitchen Sink. In its portable form, the Actual Play Kitchen is a Tiny object that weighs 1 pound. You can transform the kitchen into its true form by taking the Magic action to speak the kitchen’s command word. It then unfolds into a fully functioning kitchen that takes up a space 30 feet wide, 30 feet long, and 10 feet tall. If there is no room for the kitchen to form, it fails to do so. The kitchen contains the following:

◆ A pantry, able to contain a total of 100 pounds, not exceeding a volume of 15 cubic feet.

◆ An ice box which can refrigerate its contents at a stable temperature of around 35ºF/1ºC. It can contain up to 50 pounds not exceeding a volume of 10 cubic feet.

◆ A working stovetop and oven that can reach temperatures of around 480ºF/250ºC.

◆ A working sink that can conjure up to 30 gallons of fresh, drinking water per day, replenishing its reserve of water at dawn.

◆ A kitchen island with 30 square feet of work space.

Placing an Actual Play Kitchen inside an extradimensional space created by a Bag of Holding or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within a 10-foot-radius Sphere centered on the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way and can’t be reopened.

Homecooked on the Go. You can transform the kitchen into its portable form when no creatures are in the space it occupies by taking the Magic action to speak the kitchen’s command word. All food items contained within the kitchen shrink alongside it. If any non-food items are placed within the kitchen, they are ejected to a space within 5 feet of the kitchen in their portable form as it shrinks.

Recipe for Disaster. If the kitchen in either of its forms is overloaded or damaged beyond the point it can serve any of its functions, such as by breaking the ice box or tearing the pantry doors off their hinges, it is destroyed and its contents are scattered in an unoccupied space adjacent to the Actual Play Kitchen.
