Armor (plate), rare (requires attunement by a Fighter, Cleric, Paladin, or Druid.)

Forged from the shells of the Sunken Sea's native giant clams, this extremely bulky set of armor allows the wearer to control the laden magic within shellfish, at the cost of their own movement potential.

This armor grants resistance to Slashing and Piercing damage, but reduces the wearer's movement speed by 10 ft. outside of water. In addition, the armor also allows the wearer to cast Speak with Animals at will upon aquatic creatures.

In addition, if the wearer does not possess a Familiar, the armor calls a bounding shellfish to the wearer, who fights for them. If the shellfish is to fall, a new one will replace it after the next Long Rest. (See stat block below)

Clam Snap. Melee Attack Roll: +1, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (1d10) Crushing damage.

Clam Leap. The shellfish leaps forward by 30 ft by spending 15 ft Walk movement. Upon landing, it creates a shockwave within a 5 by 5 sphere, centered on the landing point. Foes caught in the shockwave take 8 (1d6 + 2) Thunder damage, and are knocked back by 10 ft.

(Based on the armor set of the same name from the Terraria Calamity mod.)

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Resistance: Slashing, Resistance: Piercing, Speed Reduction: Impose, Fighter, Cleric, Paladin, or Druid., Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
