Wondrous Item, uncommon
This small, grey stone fits in the palm of a hand and has five charges. While holding the Lodestone you may use an action to expend one charge to cast Detect Magic or two charges to cast Locate Object without requiring material components. The item regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge roll 1d20, on a roll of 1 the Lodestone ceases to function, becoming a hunk of useless rock.
This Lodestone is purple in color with flecks of teal, gold, and green running through it. Whenever you cast Locate Object, it gives off a faint “pinging” noise that gets louder as you get closer to your target.
The lodestone is an acual item though? It's used for the mending cantrip?
Lodestones are an actual, IRL mineral and act as natural magnets. This magic item just shares the name. <3
