Abyssal Staff of the Warden

A long tarnished silver staff with a charred demon skull at the top. Small abyssal runes are scratched into the lower half of the staff. When held the skull is wreathed in an unholy dark red flame.

You gain the ability to speak Abyssal

While the weapon is attuned and in your hand, you have advantage on initiative rolls. In addition, you and any of your companions within 30 feet of you can't be surprised, except when incapacitated by something other than nonmagical sleep.

The weapon magically awakens you and your companions within range if any of you are sleeping naturally when combat begins.

You have disadvantage on stealth checks made while in possession of this item.
