This priceless amulet is very ornate, holding a large round ruby in the centre and 13 small perfectly cut diamonds surrounding it in a starburst pattern, the amulet is indestructible. If a humanoid dies while wearing or touching the amulet their soul is transferred into the amulet unless the amulet already contains a soul. While a soul is inside of the amulet it cannot leave or be removed from the amulet by any means, even the wish spell is incapable of freeing the soul from the amulet. While a soul is inside the amulet when a humanoid picks up the amulet they must make a DC 18 (or the souls spell save DC whichever is higher) wisdom saving throw, on a successful save the target is unaware of this effect and is immune to this effect for one hour, on a failed save the soul inside the amulet takes complete control of the target. While controlling a target the soul gains any racial traits that the target has and uses the targets physical attributes (strength, dexterity, constitution) but retains it’s mental attributes (intelligence, wisdom, charisma), the soul does not gain any proficiencies or knowledge that the target. Once the amulet is removed the target regains control of themselves and is aware that they were being controlled by the amulet.
