This bag works as if it is a bag of holding. Artificers can attune to this bag and use it as their workshop if they are attuned to ventilating lungs. When attuned only the attuned person can store and retrieve items in/from the bag. An attuned creature can climb into the bag. Entering or leaving the bag through its magical opening will take 5 minutes. Once per long rest you can use an action to instantly escape from the Artificer's Bag. Breathing creatures inside the bag can survive up to a number of minutes equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures (minimum 1 minute), after which time they begin to suffocate.
The bag has the following properties:
- When an attuned creature enters the bag, it magically closes above the creature. Any creature inside or outside of the bag can open it.
- The bag can hold up to 500 lbs.
- When you've entered the bag its magically nailed to the surface it is standing on. (the surface will then become invulnerable)
- Placing the Artificer's Bag inside an extradimensional space created by a handy haversack, portable hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane.
- There is no sound in the bag.
- When the bag is opened a very dim light from above shines into the bag. The contents of the bag can only fully be seen by the creature that is attuned to the Artificer's Bag.
- The Artificer's bag produces no light on it's own, but artificial or magicial lighting can be used on the inside of the Artificer's bag.
The Artificer's bag can be upgraded by altering the bag using gems by an attuned Artificer. Discuss with the DM how much the gems should be worth.
The following upgrades can be made:
- You can magically summon the bag into your hand if the bag is on the same plane of existance.
- The bag can increase to hold up to 1000 lbs.
- The bag can be attuned by 1 extra person with a maximum of 2 attuned persons.
- The bag can contain fire, for example to be used for forging weapons.
- Inside the bag you're able to hear sound from inside the bag and from outside of the bag if the Artificer's Bag is opened.
Notes: A magical link made by concentrating on the magical properties of the bag for 1 hour.
