While wearing this device, you can use an action to activate it. This activates the core built into the central body of the device and makes you more buoyant allowing the inbuilt wings to move you through the sky.
Due to the eddying of the Aesthetic winds around large land-masses, using the wings around islands and the like gets commensurately more difficult.
Flying with these wings is not easy, and will require a athletics/acrobatics or straight dexterity to succeed. Checks are made at disadvantage near objects that cause the aetheric winds to behave unpredictably.
These wingsuits are very bulky, and as such all non-flying based Dex checks, as well as attack roles, are made at disadvantage
