While wearing these bracers, you gain the following benefits:
- Your Dexterity score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20.
In addition, the bracers have several magical properties.
- You have advantage on attacks and skill checks made with a weapon item of a mechanical nature.
- You can teleport with misty step up to a range of 30 feet.
- You have advantage on Investigation checks made to understand anything mechanical in nature.
You also find that although machines seem easier to understand, people seem more complex.
- You have disadvantage on all Charisma skill checks while wearing the bracers.
Whenever you use any of magical properties of the bracers to assist in a task, there is a small percentage the bracers may break. Roll a d20 whenever you use the bracers, on a 1 the bracers have broken. In order to repair broken bracers, roll a d20 during a short or long rest and anything except a 1 will repair the bracers. If you roll a 1 trying to repair the bracers then your attempt to fix them has instead broken them beyond repair. This will result in the loss of all magical properties from the bracers. They will still provide a Dexterity bonus and will still cause disadvantage on Charisma checks, but nothing else.
Notes: Bonus: Dexterity Score, Disadvantage: Ability Checks, Advantage: Ability Checks, Advantage: Melee Attacks, Advantage: Ranged Attacks, Advantage: Investigation, One of the seven Shards of the Immortal Sun. A completely unique item, previously owned by the famous Inventor and Artificer Kwalish.
