The Abyssal Hellfire Orb is one of the most powerful magical orbs known to any spellcaster in the history of magic, a legendary artifact so rare that not all in the magical community believe it exists. The orb is highly sought after, particularly by warlocks and wizards who practice offensive spellcasting.
The size of a large apple and surprisingly heavy for its size, it appears as a large obsidian black orb with a fiery scarlet core. The orb causes waves of overwhelming infernal magic to surge through the user, greatly increasing their damage to any spell dealing force or fire damage (adds 4d8 force damage, 4d8 fire damage to force/fire melee spells)
Prolonged spell casting with the orb will cause the user to enter a frenzied rage after casting any 5 offensive spells. In frenzy mode, the user can cast an additional spell on each turn for the duration of the rage, which lasts 4 turns. With each turn, the user loses more control over spellcasting and can potentially injure party members. At the end of the frenzy, the user suffers 3 levels of exhaustion and cannot spellcast for 4 turns.
*With Homebrew Campaign Hellbound: Tower of Ars Goetia - The Abyssal Hellfire Orb can only be created by combining the Infernal Hellhound Fire Sac (drop from Gatekeeper of Hell, Cerberus), a Fire Gem, and the Greater Abyssal Gem (drop from Lord of Blood and Flame, Vulcan).
