To the common warrior, this weapon has the appearance of a moderately-crafted, common longsword. However in the hands of a paladin of Lathander, its true craftsmanship and aura is revealed. Golden hues glow from the blades edge, and upon closer inspection, small detailed sigils are inscribed along the flat of the blade in light-purple divine magic. The longsword's centerpiece is its gold-plated guard in the shape of a mid-day sun, in reverence to its patron deity.
This weapon is one of a set of Holy Avenger swords crafted for Lathander's paladins, The Order of the Aster. This particular weapon, Aster's Edge, was once wielded by the paladin, Grayth Holmfast who perished during the fey'ri invasion of Evereska.
